KSF Space Foundation was initially established to generated cost-efficient satellites and provided access to LEO with no harmful influence on the environment through its flying solution.
However, KSF is now playing a crucial role in education, especially aerospace engineering. Recently, KSF Space has launched its most minor and the cheapest Cubesat for universities and other research institutes. KSF is now collaborating with different academic institutes and providing great opportunities to students and researchers. KSF has also launched its NEP certification and its two of its significant collaborations in Kuwait and Maldives.
KSF Space Foundation has awarded over 30 students Nanosatellite Engineering Professional Certification (NEP) in June 2021. These candidates have participated in different satellite programs from the Maldives, the USA, and Kuwait. The names of the students are as follows:

The award has been awarded to the students due to their stellar performance in KSF projects. The award means that the students have all the required knowledge and expertise to become a satellite engineers. The certification opens the door to numerous opportunities for these students. The students are from different countries like Maldives, Kuwait, and the USA. The certificate can help students get a job that has it as a prerequisite. This certificate was based on the exam that the students gave and passed.
NEP is the world’s first curriculum program designed for aerospace and satellite professionals.
Let’s look into it deeply.
“The purpose of the project is to better understand the reaction of climate change and measuring ultra violet radiation in space. The expected results could prove valuable information for human and science,” said Dr. Kayyali, the Chairman of KSF Space.
Nanosatellite Engineering Professional Certification (NEP)
Professional engineers of the KSF Space Foundation established the world’s first and foremost curriculum program, Nanosatellite engineering professional certification (NEP). NEP targets startup companies, universities, and every space industry globally to educate engineers, students, and teachers for the building and progress of their Nanosatellite.
NEP certification will verify the upcoming job opportunities in the satellite industry. It will be acknowledged and acclaimed internationally. NEP certification will be an obligatory prerequisite for numerous upcoming jobs.
Opportunities for a NEP Certified Person
You will get the following opportunities if you are owing to a NEP certification:
- You can collaborate and interact with other NEP specialists worldwide, thus enhancing your proficiency achievement and expansion chances.
- You will have more knowledge about nanosatellite engineering and its applications than the other NEP experts.
- When you have a NEP certification, you can get in touch with probable employers around the world.
NEP certification has been launched in the market this year and is focused on the minimum market sector. NEP certification will identify space engineering abilities, and it is an excellent add-on for every aerospace engineer.
KSF Space Foundation Collaborations
Along with providing certification and satellites, KSF Space Foundation is also working with different academic institutes and providing numerous opportunities for the students to learn and enhance satellite and aerospace engineering expertise.
Recently, KSF Space Foundation has made two of its most essential collaborations with academic institutes from Kuwait and Maldives.
- KSF and Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST) Partnership
It has been proclaimed that Kuwait will be the foremost in North Africa (NA) and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) to drive CubeSat to space in collaboration with KSF Space Foundation. Its purpose is to quantify ultraviolet radiation and climate change which has been launched in June 2021.
Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST) will be ahead of every academic institute in NA and GCC to conduct such experiments. KCST students have joined this program, and its purpose is to transmit fundamental and essential proficiencies to construct small satellites, augment global understanding and collaboration, accelerate eagerness, boost a cooperative network of teachers, students, and alumni, and inspires the ground-breaking space development to expand the quality of life on earth.
Professor Khali Al-Begin
KCST president Professor Khali Al-Begin has mentioned that this collaboration involves training twelve KSCT students. It will direct them and propose the appropriate hardware required to construct the 3D printed Space Capsule.
- KSF and IGS Collaboration
KSF Space Foundation is also collaborating with Maldives’ Institute for Global Success (IGS). The main aim of the collaboration is to assist the Maldives in establishing its initial university satellite. In addition, KSF Space Foundation will help IGS develop its space program, unlock new prospects, and bring hope for Maldivian youth through this partnership.
The partnership will also help strap up the aptitudes and the proficiencies of Maldivians, making them identify their complete potential and enlarge their prospect, and build a new variety of engineers, scientists, and leaders.
