Will you choose the Energy Sword or the Gravity Hammer?
Combining the high quality of the Halo series with a free-to-play model, Halo Infinite has brought the brand back as a top title. No matter if you’re playing Slayer or Big Team Battle, there are many ways to play and tools to use to fit your preferred style.
Halo’s power weapons take a match to the next level, no matter how good the other weapons are. Fans have been fighting for a long time about which is better: the Energy Sword or the Gravity Hammer, or which Sniper Rifle. Let’s put an end to that argument and talk about the best power weapons in Infinite and how to use them to take control of the map better.
Ravager
The Ravager is not even close to being the most wanted power weapon in Halo: Infinite. But if one appears on a map, you should grab it for your team before the other team does. The Ravager shoots out bursts of plasma that can stay on the ground and hurt players who walk on them. Teaming up with other members of your team is the best way to deal with a Ravager.
You can set up areas of red damage that drain an enemy’s shield completely while your friends clean them up with precise weapons. You can also use the Ravager to control the game better if you herd players into shield-draining spots you’ve set up when you’re playing in a small area.
Cindershot
When you fire the Cindershot, you have to think about how the hardlight grenades will bounce off walls. This means you have to do some math on the spot. The Cindershot is fun to use because you can bounce shots off of walls and hit unaware Spartans, but it’s not as accurate as you’d like it to be at higher levels.
Despite this, one of the best ways to use the Cindershot is to take down the shields of enemies who are trying to hide around a corner. As with the Ravager, you should use the Cindershot with a strong group of friends who are ready to swoop in and kill any enemies who run away from the blasts.
Stalker Rifle
In Halo Infinite, the Stalker weapon is called the Banished’s sniper weapon, which is a pretty good way to describe it. It doesn’t have quite the same range as its UNSC cousin, but any player who has fought Jackals in the Infinite campaign can tell you how strong this gun is. If you choose to use this tool, make sure you know where the best places to camp are on the multiplayer map you’re playing on. You should go somewhere more remote so you can use the Stalker Rifle’s long range.
Hydra
Depending on whether or not you hit the ADS button, the Hydra can fire in two different ways. Its main fire mode works like a light rocket launcher, but the tracking of its secondary fire mode and the slower speed of its shots mean you have to think more about when to use it.
The time between tracking and when the Hydra rockets meet can mean life or death, so make sure you always get the timing right. (A good tip is to use the lock-on mode when you’re shooting at a player who hasn’t seen you yet.)
S7 Sniper Rifle
Over the course of Halo, the Sniper Rifle has been one of the most-used power weapons. Some people think that having control of this long-range tool can make or break a match, depending on how your team plays. Nothing is more strong than a skilled sniper taking out a whole team by himself. If this weapon appears on a map, you should do everything you can to get it for your team, whether you use it yourself, give it to a partner, or just hold on to it so the other team can’t use it.
Gravity Hammer
Halo is known for being a first-person shooter, but the Energy Sword and the Gravity Hammer are two of the most famous fighting weapons in gaming history. The Gravity Hammer is heavier and has more power than the other one.
This huge hammer hits opponents with a lot of force, but it needs to be much closer than the Energy Sword, it doesn’t have the “zip to an opponent” feature, and it swings much slower than the sword cuts. Taking all of these things into account, it’s safe to say that it’s the second-best melee weapon in Halo Infinite. You have to time your swings a second before you think they’ll hit, but it’s a great move to use when there are a lot of enemies around.
Skewer
The Skewer is one of the best new Banished weapons in Halo: Infinite. This powerful gun is like a bayonet rifle from the future. It shoots a big spear that pierces whatever it hits. It fires a lot faster than the M41 SPNKR Rocket Launcher, and both Spartans and cars can be killed with just one shot. This is the power weapon to look out for and hold onto on big maps with a lot of vehicles.
Energy Sword
Energy Swords and Halo go together like peanut butter and chocolate, and Halo Infinite brings back the amazing feeling of speeding five feet to cut an enemy in half. With the Energy Sword, it’s easy to kill multiple people in a row, depending on how skilled your opponents are. If you have an Energy Sword, make sure you only pull it out when you know you’ll be able to use it. For example, don’t make yourself a target for players with long-range weapons by running around with it on a big map. The Energy Sword is the best weapon for fighting up close.
M41 SPNKR Rocket Launcher
The M41 SPNKR Rocket Launcher is not only one of the most famous weapons in Halo, but also one of the most famous weapons in the whole series. It lets you kill multiple enemies at once based on how close they are to each other. It also gives you a lot of options for taking out vehicles if an enemy is hurting one of Halo: Infinite’s many land or air vehicles. As with the Sniper Rifle, a skilled 8 Ball Pool player in control of the SPNKR can make the difference between winning and losing a match.
